Orlando International Air Traffic Control Tower

TJ&B Air conditioning and Electric was contracted by Federal Aviation Administration to upgrade the entire HVAC/Chiller system and all supporting disciplines. We are currently in the submittal process of this project. It involves the installation of temporary AC and then the removal of existing equipment and ductwork. It is to be replaced with chillers and chilled water piping which includes insulation. A new duct system will be installed for the terminal units. The existing computer room air conditioning will be removed and replaced. All fire dampers will be replaced with fire/smoke dampers. There will be a complete upgrade of the DDC control system. All electrical work is also included in our scope. New flex ducts, dampers, and GRDs are to be installed. All carpentry work for ceilings, soffits, and chases will be installed and finished. Excavation for piping and the chillers will require the demolition and concrete work to be completed. We will conduct all testing, balance, and commissioning of the systems.
